The New Zealand Historic Places Trust Pouhere Taonga manages a large number of heritage buildings and sites around New Zealand, many of which are open to the public.

Members are admitted free to all NZHPT properties during normal opening times, but in certain cases (eg. when a special event is being held) a small surcharge may apply. If in doubt, please telephone the property to check.

NZHPT Members should always carry their membership cards, as free admission cannot be given without them.

Opening times and days vary considerably between properties, so please read the relevant information carefully or telephone the property in advance to be sure. The NZHPT reserves the right to amend opening arrangements at any time, should this prove necessary.
