Opening Hours

Sundays 10.30am - 4.30pm.  Closed Christmas Day and Good Friday.

Admission

Adults: $7.50
Accompanied children free, unaccompanied children $2.00
School groups $2.50 per person (adults and students)
Groups: $4 per person

Concession ticket for Highwic, Ewelme and Alberton: $17 adults

Group visits must be booked in advance. The property manager would be pleased to help ensure that your visit is pleasant and memorable.  Please remember that Ewelme Cottage has limited opening hours and an extra charge may apply to visits arranged outside normal opening hours.

Free entry to members of the New Zealand Historic Places Trust and members of the National Trusts of Australia, Barbados, Bermuda, Cayman Islands, England, Georgia (USA), Isle of Man, Jersey, Japan, Northern Ireland, Scotland, Wales and Zimbabwe and the National Trust for Historic Preservation.

Ewelme Cottage is smoke-free.

Parking

There is no parking available in the grounds, please park nearby in Ayr Street.

Wheelchair access

Disabled visitors may easily access the ground floor and garden area of Ewelme Cottage although there are no ramps or lifts.  The upper floor is available only by climbing a narrow staircase. 

Refreshments

Refreshments are unable to be purchased on site.  Visitors are welcome to bring their own snacks or a picnic to enjoy in the garden at Ewelme Cottage.  Please do not bring food indoors.

Toilets

A toilet is available for visitors only.

How to get to Ewelme Cottage

By car

Ewelme is centrally located - use the google map opposite to help get directions. 

By bus

There are regular bus connections from downtown Auckland to/from a bus stop within walking distance. The best connection is via the "Link" service which circles the city every 20 minutes.    Alternatively, catch 635-645 or 655 from bus stop D11 on Customs Street/Queen Street corner.  These bus services drops passengers at the corner of Parnell Road and Ayr Street.
