What's involved
The focus is on inquiry and hands-on interactive learning. A teachers' resource book is available for the Experience Old St Paul's programme.
Each half-day session is 2.5 hours long and includes two activities of your choice. Shorter sessions may be arranged on request (one activity per student).
The class is divided into small groups to do the activities.
Sessions may run in the morning or afternoon.
We are able to accommodate classes of up to 32 students.
We can run a full day programme of three or four activities - contact us to discuss your requirements.
Activities are best suited for students from years 5-8, but can be adapted for older students.
The Social Inquiry project can be used as a cross-curriculum project for senior primary and secondary students through to NCEA levels 1, 2 and 3 in Social Studies and History.
Cost per half-day session is $8 per student (2.5-3 hours).
Cost per single-activity session is $4 per student (1.5 hours).
Guided tours ( see Guided and Special Interest Tours) of Old St Paul's are $3 per student and do not include any of the activities outlined in the Experience Old St Paul's programme.
