On the last Sunday of every month that we are open, at approx 2pm, the machinery will operate. Take in the noises and drama of flour production at one of the country's oldest flour mills. Unforgetable! Note that a small surcharge applies to admissions on the operating days.

Group Tours
Group tours may be arranged by contacting the staff at Totara Estate, ph/fax 03 434 7169 to arrange a convenient time. We would be delighted to work with you to develop a programme suited to the interests and ages of your group. Educational groups are always welcome.
With prior notice, we can arrange for the Mill to be operated, and provide access to the Notth Otago Vintage Machinery Club's collection (on site).
Wheelchair Access
The buildings are not wheelchair-friendly. While all four levels of th building are accessible, it is by stairwell only. Parents with young children in pushcahirs may also have difficulty on site.
Refreshments
You are welcome to bring your own light refreshments to enjoy in the grounds.
Toilets
Limited public facilities are available when the Mill is open.
